Mealtime cultures and environments can be a barrier to a person’s nutritional needs. All people have a preference of how and where they want to have their meals. If a person want to eat alone in their room, this could have a negative impact, as they may need to be encouraged to eat more. Also if they are not socialising at mealtimes, meaning sitting with others, this can have a knock on their confidence. If a person’s culture means that don’t want to have their meals until a certain time, this could be a barrier to their nutritional needs.
For example a Muslim can’t eat during the day during Ramadan. The person may forget to eat and isolate them, resulting in negative effects to the person’s well-being and may lead to further factors that could
