As the days wore on and grew colder, the flower started to lose its beautiful color and hung down towards the ground. The dog had no clue what was happening to the flower, he just assumed it wasn’t feeling very well. One particularly cold morning he woke up and found his flower covered in frost and crinkled up. His flower was dead. The dog picked up the broken flower and help it close, he pressed it against his chest in hopes his warmth would save it. The flower crumpled and fell to the ground in a dark lifeless heap. Tears spilled from the dog's eyes as he realized he had lost the only thing he had ever loved. Soon the ground was soaked with his tears, but they never stopped

We started off the day by walking in the forest alongside of Kelsey Creek. This forest has a really big meaning to Fernie and I, because we both love nature in every aspect and these walking adventures are not uncommon to us. Starting on the path we both got lost in our own thoughts, I got distracted by looking above me at the the canopy the tree branches created. My eyes followed the patterns the sunlight was creating as it broke through the leaves and cascaded onto the uneven forest floor.…
