Mdc Scholarship

There are many reasons why students like myself are worthy of an MDC scholarship for Disabled Students. However, I deserve this scholarship because ever since I started my education at Miami Dade College in the Fall of 2016, I have passed and completed my classes with A’s and B’s. This accomplishment bolsters me with courage to become more successful in pursuing my career goal of becoming a Computer Engineer.
This scholarship opportunity would encourage me to stay focused on acquiring an Associate’s, a Bachelor’s, and a Master’s degree in computer engineering for my future dream job and to increase my odds against competition of others who are applying for the job. However, since I have been at Miami Dade College for a few years, I have learned that getting an education is the process of listening, learning, and reusing the information to enhance one’s knowledge so that the individual can become successful in life. On this note, I have always strived to attain an excellent

For this purpose, I have volunteered to two organizations which deals with gardening. First, I volunteered at North Miami Senior High School, which is the high school that I attended. I completed 75 hours of community service in the garden while I was there. Second, I volunteered in the “Palmetum: An Outdoor Learning Environment” at North Campus, Miami Dade College. In addition, this organization is located to the left of the Science Complex building with the enormous dome. I completed 10 community service hours after attending classes. Overall, both organizations were interesting and enjoyable, but the best part about it was learning how to plant, water, weed, and harvest vegetables and herbs in the garden. Also, both organizations give volunteering students an insight on how they can improve their health, as well as provide a beautiful garden for the entire community to

I feel like I am a good candidate for this scholarship because, as a senior, any and all money earned and received will help me ease the burden of attending college. My goal throughout my whole childhood was to receive a full ride scholarship to the college of my dreams; however, as time has gone on and I have matured I have come to the realization that, that dream is not as achievable as I once believed it to be. I have worked hard, inside and outside of the classroom, making the grades and creating the resume that colleges are looking for, and in response I have been offered tuition waivers. Which ultimately means I am still responsible for paying for my books, room and board, part of the tuition cost, and mandatory fees.…

Gardening was a ‘forced’ hobby for a good portion of my childhood. Since elementary school, I worked with my dad in our back yard; I would dig holes, carry bags of manure, and plant flowers and trees. I complained that it would be easier to go to the store and buy a bag of blackberries instead of toiling in the sun for hours to achieve the same thing. I never imagined that I’d end up gardening for fun. Every year, my brother and I would collect the fruits of our labor; every year, I’d appreciate my efforts more and more.…
