At McNamara, there is a moral code that all students should abide by. I think that all of these morals are very good building blocks for someone’s personality, but one stands out the most. I believe that the 10th moral, which states to live like Jesus Christ, is one that really helps people make good decisions and shape their character. Throughout high school and life, this moral will always lead people on a good path. Living like Jesus Christ means a lot to me, and the reasons that it does are countless. One reason why it means so much to me is because I have a perfect role model to look up to and try to follow: Jesus Christ. Not only can I look up to him, but I can also try my best to be like him. I can study what he’s taught in the bible, and live out what I already know he wants me to do. If this moral could be instilled in the hearts and minds of everyone across the world, there would be many changes to life we know today. There would be peace, love, happiness, and joy across the world. Many people’s personalities would be impacted in a good way, and many of the unpleasant things we see and hear about would be eradicated.

For instance, one student needs a partner to help them study for a test. I want to go home and relax, but by following the moral of Living like Jesus Christ, I would instead help that student study for the test. I could also think to myself “What would Jesus do?” before I make a decision. This would help me to make good choices, and not make decisions that would not only jeopardize my safety and health, but also the good name of Bishop McNamara. Another good way to fulfill this moral is by respecting others by not calling them bad names, saying false things about them, and purposely leaving them out of activities.
