Mcgregor Theory Y: Team Analysis

Decent Essays
When leading a team in the future as a leader or manager, I would use the McGregor Theory Y(McGregor, 1960), where I view my team as the most important people, allowing dynamic and flexibility in management. I would be a supportive leader who will give my team direction when needed to achieve our desired goal.
Based on Tuckman Model, I would spent time doing up a charter consisting of clear purpose, goals and roles with my team to ensure everyone know what they are supposed to do. I will also be hearing the voices from my team when deciding on the goals and roles. I will set realistic deadlines set for completion of task assignments.
I would also ensure open communication in my team where members must communicate concerns and issues respectfully.
