1. Project management is an important cultural change. As we know, cultural changes are difficult, slow and sometimes cause resistance within organizations. The essence of a company's culture is expressed by the way it does its business, manages its project portfolio, treats its customers, employees, the degree of autonomy or freedom that exists in their business units or offices and the expressed loyalty to its employees regarding the company. CHIAVENATO (2004), mentions that in order to get to know the organization, the first step is to know its culture. It is the culture that defines the mission and causes the birth and the establishment of organizational goals.

In my point of view, the communication was one of the biggest challenges of McElroy. The other challenge fell within the Organization wanting to offer clients and employees the best combination between giving value to distant relations and still can counteract the competition. (Kerzner 296). It is important to note that open communication was the key element of the success of the organizations. A well-structured communication is the result of teamwork, of a synergistic action between the areas that comprise it. Project managers spend about 90% of their time running and managing communication Mulcahy (2009). So communicate is a critical factor for the success of the project and organizations as mentioned before. For its solution, McElroy, started by involving monitoring and oversight of workflow by project coordinators and planners, as well as independent monitoring methodologies adopted by departments. (Kerzner 293). The organization managed to over challenges by investing in technology and not only, also encouraging project management, teamwork and Cooperation in ways that it is a culture and with the support and commitment of senior management of the organization this was going to be possible to be successful.
