What Is Ethical?

Ethics is the moral principle that affects people’s decision making, and it is also concerned with the right things for the individuals and the society as a whole. However, in the field of business, Ethics is considered as the act of applying moral values to the strategic and the operational business management. Ethics can be responsible for the success and failure of business; it is the primary determining factor in gaining a profit or incurring losses in business. Regarding the vision 2020 healthy people, the foodstuffs offered by the company is far too dangerous and is considered a significant threat to population health risks (CEV Multimedia, Ltd. 2011). The concept focuses on achieving long life to every individual by deploying measures and precautions on what we consume and engage in. If people could make such foods in McDonald’s restaurant their daily diet, they might end up having poor health, obesity, and overweight. The unhealthy living is the leading cause of being unproductive and also the cause of many early deaths in our communities. McDonald’s restaurant engaged in business practices that are corrupt, according to the report by the Hong Kong Independent Commission, the executive of the McDonalds restaurant was being given additional money in all his beef patties, lettuce, cheese, and the special sauce. The managing director of McDonalds Restaurant Lau Si-sing was sentenced at the District Court in Hong Kong because of taking approximately 2.5million dollars of Hong Kong from a Thailand supplier in illegal kickbacks and asked him to lie to the detectives (Woods, et al,2013); this so unprofessional and thus lacked business ethics. Also, the company was found having negatively impacted the environment; management admitted on their use of plastic materials to serve their clients, this is a danger that leads to pollution.
