In real world, most of the time customers follow the brand name when they need to make any purchases. No matter whether it is a food items or clothing, they like to purchase branded items. McDonald’s is one of the most popular fast food restaurants in United States where millions of people visit every day for their meal. It operates business in a highly competitive retail food industry. For several years, McDonald’s restaurant is facing competition from many fast food restaurants nationally and internationally. Burger King, Wendy’s, Chipotle and Starbucks are large competitors of McDonald’s in the U.S. These industries are highly competitive with respect to price, quality of food, new product development, advertising, promotion, location, customer service, attractive interiors and maintenance of the properties. Similarly, the company offers a broad menu at various price options providing value to their customers around the world. But, customers going to McDonald’s are frustrated with entirely contradictory situation to what is perceived about the company. Frequent introduction of new food items in short period of time increased the problem of slow and inaccurate services. Fast customer service is considered as key success factors in fast food industry, where as McDonald’s is lacking in this area. The lack of good menu, weak marketing, slower services, inaccurate orders, inadequate employee training, poor management and so on contributes to the failure of the firm. In order…
