His job directly entails him leading a staff of 9 assistant coaches and 38 members of the Varsity team. Furthermore, it is his direct duty to make sure that our program is continuing to get better in order for us to get a step closer to reaching our team goal, of becoming national champions. The example used with Coach McCoy is a representation of a situation that I learned from analysing the actions of another leader. There are many aspects about myself that I did not know about until I learned more in depth information about leadership and different leadership styles which has helped me to develop as a better leader. Today, my definition of leadership has changed and I believe that each leader contains a plethora of different qualities. I recognize that each leader is different, in regards to their leadership styles, but I believe that all great leaders have the ability to set a clear goal, and vision for their followers. Furthermore, leaders must be able to take inventory and advantage of the things that motivate their followers and must be able to understand the “Complexity of Identity.” Lastly, I believe leaders have the ability to put their followers before you, so in the long run it will their followers productivity will be
