Mr. McCain and Mrs. McCain:

Thank you so much for the kind words, support, and seeing my potential. It all means the world to me -.. Especially coming from godly people with amazing leadership and business skills.

I recently attended my college orientation and am very excited to start. To me, this college is not only a place to grow and tune my skill set, but it will be a place where I will be able to meet like minded individuals who share common goals and are willing to work as a team towards those goals. After meeting my advisors, and a couple of my professors, I feel very confident with my decision to attend Arizona State.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about being so far away from home. The truth about it is that I am frightened, but that is how it is with any growth. I don't know what to expect in these upcoming years, but I know that this is God's plan for me. I am going to embrace his plan, and get the most out of my experience down here. My campus is beautiful, filled with caring staff, and gives me full access to the tools I need to succeed.

After seeing the paths that some of my peers have gone down, even watching good friends from elementary school throw away their future in the last year of high school, I can only pray that they find their way back onto a righteous path. Unfortunately for some that may never happen. I hope that my work will ultimately change the world for the better, and help as many people as it possibly can.

Thank you for the gift card as well! It is definitely going to come in handy when purchasing supplies for my dorm room. Being a student in college I'm not going to have much to any money other than for living expenses, so to receive something like this is a huge blessing.

I am ready for this next chapter in my life, and am excited to see where it takes

He talked about how the title was created and more about the backstory of the book. While I was reading the book I could see many theories from our lectures, and also picked up on some things he said in his speech.…

In 2008, there was a historical presidential race taking place between Barack Obama and John McCain. John McCain was a seventy-two year old Republican, who's campaign became extremely difficult because his running mate Sarah Palin was oblivious when it came to foreign or domestic policy, in addition to the 2008 Republican President's low approval rating and the financial crisis. Eventually, as the race dwelled on, Obama won the hearts of voters. “Obama carried not only Democratic strongholds in New England, the mid-Atlantic states, the industrial Midwest, and the West Coast but also states that had been reliably Republican for years. He cracked the solid South, winning Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.…

One of our universal questions is why people dream of wanting to live the American dream? Coming from a Hispanic background you get told you are the least likely to graduate. That either you are not smart enough or wealthy to be someone special in life. These stereotypes reach out to students, making them think less of themselves every day. Being a Hispanic woman, a first generation high school graduate, and the first person to go to college brings me the motivation to demonstrate that any individual is capable of becoming who they want to be.…

I chose the topic to research what effect that pregnancy has on teenagers, their families and the people around them. Especially wanted to focus on the teenage girl and the decisions she has to make when she finds out she is pregnant. It is a huge responsibility to make the decision to have a child, to give your child up for adoption or to decide to abort your child; no matter the age. Teen parents are put into little stereotypes based on what people think they know about them, or what they have heard. I chose this topic because two of my sisters were teen parents, my other sister chose abortion and a lot of my friends got pregnant at a young age.…
