Mazy May Symbolism

Courage, big word right? The characters in my book are risking a lot for people. In Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech and “The King of Mazy May” by Jack London. This helped the theme develop a lot from this.
In Walk Two Moons Phoebe cares about her mom a lot and she is doing a lot to find out where she went. Phoebe is going to the police because she thinks that her mom is missing. “She explained about her mother disappearing, and the note from Mrs. Cadaver’s missing husband, and the rhododendron, and finally about the lunatic and the mysterious messages” (185). This means that Phoebe cares about her mom that she went to the police to try and find her. After her mom leaves she goes around her house to find out who might have been off with her.

As we all know, the theme of a story is the lesson that is being taught throughout the novel. But a theme can also be the subject of a talk, a piece of writing, or a person's thoughts. All stories have a theme, but they may not always be directly stated. This requires readers to dig deep down into the text and analyze the lessons that they have acquired through the book. Between the two excerpts, "Angelas Ashes" and "The Street", there is common theme that perseverance is important when times get tough in life.…
