Maze Runner Book Vs Movie

"Maze Runner" was mazing!
The Hunger games perpetuates to glaze, as the novel 'Maze runner' written by James Dashner achieves prosperity being the best-selling book in 2009.The novel attracted both teen and adult readers due to the Young Adult Dystopian Science Fiction (YADSF) approach. Due to the success of the novel, the film rights were purchased by Fox in January 2011. Maze runner was directed by Wes ball in 2013, with Wes directing his first film. The film adaptation is relatively equivalent, due to xerox of plot and characters. In a interview Ball stated "I wanted to, you know stay really true to the book". Despite Ball being unexperienced, he managed to attain the attention of viewers, through the use of symbolism, characters, and sound.

In todays day and age, it is very common that movies are made and inspired from novels that are popular in the culture. People take strong ideas and stories from novels and manipulate them in order for them to succeed on the lime light. However, in most cases, changes are made in order to compress the movie. These vital changes can sometimes change the way a character is viewed and/or can change the literal flow of the book or movie. Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1883 adventure novel, Treasure Island, influenced and was made into a movie in 1950 by the Walt Disney Corporation.…

I was extremely excited to begin reading Mockingjay. After seeing the all of the movies, I was excited to see if the books were going to be like the movie. At this point in the book, it seems like there is not much of a difference between the two. My favorite part in Part 1 of Mockingjay is when Peeta sends a coded message to the rebels.…

Published in 1956 by Philip K. Dick, Minority Report has made itself quite a name. After being adapted several times the one that stuck out the most was the film Minority Report directed by Steven Spielberg in 2002. The film took a radical approach, as shown by the change in plotlines and major characters. First of all, major plot points were different in the film than they were in the story, For example, Anderton is supposed to kill a man named Leopold Kaplan, but in the film, the man is named Leo Crow. Although this seems like a small change, the difference between the two is huge.…

I would compare “In The Woods” to “The Maze Runner.” Both books are about a main character that had something happen to them when they were young and they don’t know what happened or how to explain it. In “The Maze Runner,” the main character can’t remember anything about his past or his childhood, while “In The Woods,” the main character had an unexplainable event happen to him when he was young. In each of the books, there is a place that is mysterious and know of the characters know a lot about. For example, in “In The Woods” the characters don’t know a lot about what happened in the woods and how the murders and deaths happened.…

Notably, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson was a banned book, just as The Cather in the Rye by J.D. Salinger was. One man, named Richard Swier , even deemed Speak to be “child pornography. ” Although it contains one scene where Melinda is raped, it is not graphic or cause gratification in reading. Speak is a cautionary tale about the emotional aftermath of rape. It tackles bullying, depression, sexual harassment, and family dysfunction.…

Like most books turned into movies, the Harry Potter books differ from the movies in many ways. I would like to say that I love both the books and movies but I prefer the books, mainly because of all the extra details. For example, “The Glade” looked a lot different than I thought. In my head, I had an image of a small town or village with kind of normal looking houses, but it was the exact opposite. It seems an unfair view to expect a movie about a book to be exactly the same down to every single detail. Communities of fans will always find something wrong with a story, for it has “failed” to match expectation. Books are a place where someone can be dragged into the story and forget about everything else for a short while. Movies do the exact same thing, except it is seen as an easier way than books for a lot of people. Ignoring obvious differences (such as the fact that one is in picture form, and the other is in words), movies and books may not be so different after all.…
