Maz Jobrani Act Out Analysis

Maz Jobrani is an Iranian-American comedian and an actor. He jokes about ISIS, Iranians, and Muslims. Jobrani stars in Descendants on Disney channel and he also stars in a comedy movie called friday after next. He stars in a lot more cinemas. In one of his comedy shows he was joking about how people always think he is going to blow up something just because where he was born in Iran. Maz Jobrani attempts to use comedy to substitute for the bad things, like when people think he’s bad news. He uses structure in his jokes by using act-outs and what-if’s. He uses act-outs like for example, when he was speaking with a persian accent, and he uses what-if’s like for example, when he said when he was in Texas and the caucasian guy flew the plane into the IRS building and when he was in times square and i believe a muslim guy tried to blow himself up, and Maz was suggesting if that had anything to do with him. In one of his joke routines Jobrani continuously used his hands to make different hand gestures to make his jokes more visual to the audience, and in the same joke routine he also used an accent to go along with the jokes. These are examples of the structure Maz Jobrani used in joke routine. Maz uses great structure in his jokes. Some of his jokes affect the audience, because they could get offended by them. Like for example, his joke about when he was so excited to get his american passport he was like “Yeah, I get to travel”. But then he noticed that it said born in Iran he was disappointed and he said “Ah man come on”. He said that because some countries would be risky about you going there if you were born in countries like Iran. That is an example of controversial comedy.
