The recording – It sounds like everyone was playing at the same time. The recording sounds fairly raw, not like anything was really smoothed out. Chuck Berry’s voice sounds unedited, like he is actually there performing in front of you. The recording sounds very clear to me, even though it doesn’t sound like much was done to edit any. At the beginning I can hear distinct guitar and maraca sounds, and as the song progressed the maracas stay very clear and you can even catch the piano as Berry sings. You can also tell that drums are being played and they provide the main beat for the song with help from the maracas. I think the way it was recorded makes it sounds like a live performance, and shows the artist’s true talent. The way it was recorded just seems characteristic of the time (the
