The Mayans had sophisticated ways of reading the first Mayan calendar by using many Mathematical equations and numbers. These cycles suggest that there are a limited amount of circles which means that the calendar eventually will end which the Mayans said it would be December 2012. But where nothing happened.

This source was created by one of the first Mayan generations as the Mayan civilization began 2100 years before. This solar calendar was known already to most of the Mayan civilization and also used by them. It was found in Guatemala 2010. The purpose of making the Solar calendar was to have a way of counting the days in a year by having use of the different structures they had like the:

Yes I think this source is reliable because it basically talks about the world of a Mexican person living in that time when they got their independence of Spain. This shows the bias of the Mexicans against the Spanish
