"It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive…" Maya Angelou. Becoming a person who forgives takes time, but once the quality of forgiveness is achieved, life becomes refined and anew-in three ways. As long as a person forgives, their mind will feel stress free and clear. In addition, the Christian virtue is to forgive those who persecute you. Lastly, once one grants themselves amnesty, new friendships will blossom since happiness will suddenly begin to radiate through them in a plethora of ways. First, when grudges are being held it is an immense distraction to the mind. Thoughts of how or why a person wronged you crowd inside the brain, stressing out the body in multiple different ways. Consequently, a task as miniscule as reading a magazine could become very strenuous because all you can focus on is a grudge being held that is slowly but surely disturbing your life. Nevertheless, this issue is an easy one to resolve, by simply forgiving. Forgiving the person who wronged you will allow an orderly routine day to continue its course becoming distressful and luminous. …show more content…
God sent his own son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so that we may have eternal life despite all the evil we attain. If we sin against God on numerous occasions, multiple amounts of times, he will still forgive us anytime we ask. Matthew 6:14-15 states, "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others of their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Therefore, since the Lord Jesus is so easy to forgive us, why does it have to be so incredibly difficult for us to forgive
