Maximus sets out to find Minimis because he is jealous that Minimis is receiving all of the attention when he set out on his journey. Maximus was determined to kill his younger brother so that he would be the ultimate hero. He starts for the village on his horse going as fast as he could go to find him. When he finally reaches him, Maximus attacks his younger brother because he thought he would have been the better fit for setting out on the journey. Minimus soon gains a great strength that ultimately allows him to defeat Maximus so that he is able to continue on his journey.
