I have a great interest in the nature of evaluation and debate, furthering this by joining the Liberal Democrat Party. Regardless of the political party, it is essential to branch into different organizations to better my debating skills and to have an insight into the ways a history degree would help me in these scenarios. I was able to further showcase my skills in my week of work experience in the office of Conservative MP Mark Harper. During this week I had the opportunity to collect information from the constituency and to debate topics of different natures. Through this I am now able to analyze information and data, I was able to apply this and get a Merit in the Baccalaureate in an essay based course work.

On my second day, Theresa May called a snap election, I had the unique experience of seeing how the attitudes changed during this time and I was able to utilise my skills of adapting to any situation. There were some tasks bestowed onto me such as writing pieces for election pamphlets. I could showcase my skills of using data and figures to create a clear argument which clearly proved effective as the Conservatives won with 54.3% of the vote. Perhaps Mr Harper should be thanking me and my skills as a historian for his landslide
