In the survivor's tale Maus written by Art Spiegelman, Vladek's son Artie loves to interview him about his deceased mother and discuss both of their experiences trying to escape and survive in the concentration camps during the reign of Adolf Hitler. If i had to interview someone like Artie did to Vladek, I would have to interview my Grandfather Carl. My Grandfather Carl was a very busy man and a nice man at that. Some of the most interesting things he did was holding the position of Chief Petty Officer in the Coast Guard in World War II, and he enjoyed farming and fishing as hobbies.
The person i would interview would definitely be my grandfather Carl who was born on November 23rd, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio. However, unfortunately, he had passed away on December 5th of 1995 and all I have heard is great stories about him. After hearing his stories I have always wished I would have been able to meet such a caring, kind- hearted man. In addition to this, he enjoyed boating, fishing and cookouts. He also served in World War II where he was Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coastguard. He also owned a farm where he would raise registered cows from India and Switzerland. My Grandfather also loved to enjoy winters by making his way to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to enjoy time with family. My dad used to always talk about how caring he was and all of the various fishing

During the Great Strike 1913-14 & the Ludlow Massacre, I would want to be John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Although Rockefeller, Jr. was blamed for the all the problems causing the strike, he did not know in reality what was going on. He took over the company CF&I from his dad, during the strike and naively believed that everything was under control with the miners who were on strike. After the strike and the massacre, Rockefeller, Jr. had visited southern Colorado to honor the fallen miners from the Ludlow Massacre and cried over the injustice that had happened. I would want to be Rockefeller, Jr. because he showed willingness to change the miners working environment unlike his dad and the businessman, who had little interest on being fair.…

If I were given the chance to have a conversation with any prominent person, I would choose to talk to Harriet Tubman. She was a spy for the United States army during the civil war. Along with that, she is more well known for risking her life to help over 300 people escape slavery. First of all, I would ask her if she ever second guessed going on trip and putting herself in danger to save others. If she did, I would ask her how she overcame that fear because she is a perfect example of how people should not let fear dictate their decisions.…
