I did an interview with Maura Iannacone MSS, LSM a social worker at Penn Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She works in the department of Clinical Resource Management and Social Work.
My interested peaked in this area of Social Work when my grandson was born two and a half months early and needed to be admitted into the neonatal intensive care unit. Maura was the social worker assigned to help my daughter. Every family with an infant in the intensive care unit was assigned a social worker regardless of their financial status. She assisted my daughter with aid in transportation, meals, medial and financial resources. She was extremely helpful and efficient with any request. Her actions helped
