For example, Evangelism started as a campaign that was against some elements in Catholicism that seemed non-biblical. So we can say that evangelism started out as a form of criticism to Catholicism. By evangelicals criticizing Catholicism, they were also in some way criticizing or judging Catholic’s. So the moral of Matthew’s Gospel, was not being applied among the people that should had mostly applied it, the Christians.
