Biography
Mathew Cowdrey is the greatest Paralympian of all Australia. Born on the 22nd of December 1988, with part of his arm missing due to congenital amputation, he knew early on that life was going to be tough. However, that didn’t stop him from becoming the swimmer he is today when he was accepted into the Australian Institute of sport.

Background Information
Academically, Mathew was advanced as well. He graduated from the University of Adelaide with a double degree in law and media, while also towards the end of his career he undertook an internship with US congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.
