The stories are more or less an impression and representation of the Youth in light of the previous or older generation. The comparatives which are drawn as a reference of the transitional change in the culture over the period either mimicking the western thoughts or creating a striking contrast in the changes of the mindset of the people as an entire society, who are driven by impulses and global consumerism of the youth in the society.
The conflict between the two schools of thoughts and two different levels of perceptions towards the society has altered the understanding of the youth and the culture which is evolving everyday as per the global standards. The two works a short story and the movie deal with different mind sets, the former is more of the social taboo which surrounds the changes and acceptance for the transitions which are taking place and the latter is more about the glamorised perspective of the society to have a reality which is larger than life as it happens for the Bobo
