In “Drive” by Pink he talks about Mastery in chapter five. He says mastery is a mindset...is pain...is an asymptote. This really explains how education really is. It is a mindset because you need to have the mindset to go forward and want to master things. It is pain because of the stress that comes with trying to attain mastery. Mastery is an asymptote because you will never be able to truly attain all the knowledge, all the mastery. You can get extremely close but you will always be learning new things.
