As a Nurse Leader, one’s knowledge and influence, both formal and informal, is beneficial in multiple scenarios. As a leader, the master’s prepared nurse uses influence to lead other members of the healthcare team, not only with formal authority granted by the position, but also informal influence with leading by example.
