The course enables the student to master the concepts or principles, methods or procedures, and techniques of the research practice from predicament assessment aspect to interpretation and analysis procedures. The course expounds more on qualitative and quantitative methodologies that had been taught in the earlier levels. The master nursing student has an opportunity to identify a researchable gap in nursing, design and create a strategy for its study and solutions.
The course expands students’ understanding of the research methods through assessing, reviewing, critiquing, and interpreting current research approaches that employ many designs. During the course, the focus will be on the idealistic concepts of the two research paradigms and their uses in nursing practice.
