    Well narrated and chock full of hidden meanings, this short story about Chief and the Comanches is about Chiefs life translated into storytelling to the young Comanche boys. The Laughing Man is set in 1928, the Great Depression was just starting for only a short year during that time. Reading through this story I felt happy and slightly confused, yet I find the ending very sad and still confused to the hints they were throwing at me.
