Upon the majority of wars, acts of terrorism and mass shooting happening in today’s society, there has always been a sense of revenge to satisfy happiness and or social status on one side or another. Mass media and propaganda have led to an increased interest in coalitions, religious views, and political interest. The belief that an individual’s actions determine what good things and bad things happen in the future is correlated to how they preserve life. While karma can be an uncontroversial belief into thinking it is a reward or punishment, it may encourage people to feel vigorous by a negative phenomenon happening to an individual or a set of people. For example, there are people purposely standing out on 16th Street Mall purposely recording acts of kindness to pose as an influential individual. Do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with helping the less fortunate. Teaching the youth to be more cautious towards the way they carry themselves and how they treat others. The majority of the time it cannot be controlled because it is human nature. Think of a scenario when getting rewarded for performing duties such as chores lead to an increased possibility of doing the same kind of action towards another individual in the future. It is a positive reinforcement and it controls how we make decisions and how we process what the outcomes will be. In western culture, it is being taught as a set of rules to where it turned into a social norm to do things like holding the door open for others or helping others. In contrast to eastern practices where education and cultural traditions are taken far more controversial.
