Maslow's Theory Of Motivation Analysis

There are different explanations from different scholars about how motivation can contribute to a company or an organization success. Among them is Maslow’s Theory of Motivation, one of the most important theories which came up with the opinion that there are five different levels of needs: physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness and social needs esteem needs and finally is self-actualization needs (Maslow, 1954). Maslow starts with the objective that if people are already having something, they tend to have desire or need something more. Therefore, managers tend to ignored what their employees say what they really want from their job but tell their employees what they want according to what the managers suppose under the circumstances.

The first published of Maslow’s Motivation and Personality Theory was in 1945 and the model has been applied in almost every circumstances. Maslow defined that in order for individual to reach self-actualization where they “find fulfillment and realize their own potential”. There are some human basic needs and if their needs are not meet, others mean nothing and they become unhealthy individuals or bad adjusted employees.
