If nobody is motivated to do their jobs, then nothing will ever get done. The three motivation theories help to identify what really motivates someone, and how it can be used to make them a more efficient worker. In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, I believe self-actualization to be at the bottom because I’m the type of person that doesn’t like worry about things that can get in the way of what I’m aiming for. I put security at the top because as a person who is very intuitive, I tend to make rash decisions, and worry about what could happen later. In McClelland’s Achievement Theory, I most identify with the achievement need because I know I am someone who usually doesn’t have a group mindset. I like to be responsible for my own tasks, and not get involved in what other people are doing. I like to be in complete control over what I’m doing, and if that’s not possible I can get easily side tracked, and come out not understanding what I’m doing. Finally, for Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, I identify with Motivators because if I’m not motivated to do something, I can’t do it. I always in need of something to motivate me on what I have to
