Abraham Maslow: The Five Needs Of Organization

A need is a necessity that an individual will have in order to survive or to support their well-being. The conception of need theories is that individuals will remain motivated in order to accomplish goals that will satisfy their needs. In order to keep an individual motivated at work, a manager must try and determine what needs an individual is trying to fulfill. After an individual performs at a level above expectations and helps the business achieve its goals, the manager must see to it that the individual obtains the results that help satisfy those needs (Halepota, 2005).
According to psychologist Abraham Maslow, there are five basic styles of needs that individuals seek. They are physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. Physiological and safety needs are at the bottom of this hierarchy of needs. Maslow proclaims that the lowest level needs must be met before an individual attempt to meet a need

The managers are basically deciding who will work together. There are five principles of organization. One is departmentalization, which is the grouping of associated activities into divisions. The second is the chain of command. This involves laying out the top position down to the bottom position of a business. The chain of command lets everyone know who they will report to. The span of management is the third principle. This principle refers to the number of employees that will be reporting to a manager. Centralized and decentralized authority is the next principle. When top managers make the important decisions, it is considered a centralized authority. A decentralized authority allows the middle and first-line managers to make the important decisions. The final principle is coordination. Basically this involves coordinating all departments to work together (Bethel University,
