These are friendship, intimacy, affection, and love from work group, family, friends, and romantic relationships. We communicate to meet these needs by talking to others and listening to what they have to say. We share our thoughts and ideas with them as well as our feelings. We watch movies with them and then communicate to each other about those movies. Belonging is also important, we as humans are not meant to be alone and is also important in our careers. Everyone has a need to belong no matter if it’s with a significant other or in our careers. Humans need to communicate with each other to be able to grow and complete our basic needs.
The forth level in Maslow’s hierarchy is esteem needs. Which includes self-esteem; self-respect for ones self and others, achievement, mastery, independence, values for others and us. We gain our first sense of self from others, like family, friends, co-workers, spouses etc. These people help us to build our self-esteem and character. Building self-esteem is important in our lives, because with out self-esteem we become depressed and no longer care about others or ourselves. We as humans need self-esteem to become strong, achieve independence and go on to the last and finale step Self-Actualizations

Referring to Maslow hierarchy needs people should have basic, psychological, and self- fulfilment needs. I agree with Maslow’s theory. I have encountered several people who have dealt with matters involving safety, loneliness, low self-esteem, or not knowing their purpose in life. I believe it is challenging to know your purpose in life if one lacks self-esteem. It is difficult for a person to gain self-esteem if he or she does not feel loved.…
