The despicable Romans tried to starve the Jews, but it didn’t work. So the Romans had other plans. They made a ramp out of dirt that started at the ground and ended at the top of Masada. They brought a battering ram up the ramp, and they tried to make it break the wall surrounding Masada. Finally they got through and they saw that is was deeper, so they set the wall on fire. Finally they got through and they decided to wait until the morning to attack, but that was not a smart choice. When the Romans were getting closer to Masada, the people decided that they rather die free and worshiping God, than die a slave to their enemies and worshiping a pagan god. So they all decided to kill themselves, by cutting their throats, instead of trusting God. The people picked ten people to be the exacuters, so everyone else lay down by their family members on the ground and those ten people went around cutting everyone’s throat, and everyone was in excruciating pain.
