Malaysia has being ranked as a 5-Star airline among the most exclusive group of world airlines by the aviation rating organisation, SKYTRAX after MAS Airlines on par with Singapore Airlines and above Thai Airways and Air Asia. The organisation has ranked with just four other airlines in the world, fortunately, MAS airlines are one of it with their strong product and quality services. Malaysia Airline also fully owned 94 fleet of total of Boeing and Airbus that has constantly created and established high standards of service as compare to other airlines industry segment. Besides, the group has a 4.5 average aircraft age with newer, more efficient models as well as improved fuel burned and other enhancements. MAS Airlines was also honoured with …show more content…
The group has also established in the cargo operations apart from the airline industry. Likewise, in 2006, MASkargo has won the “Excellent in Logistics – Air Cargo award from Technology Business Review magazine. MAS Airlines have a very well-designed and strong organisational structure. In February 2006, Mas Airlines has uncovered its Business Turnaround Plan (BTP). The plan has highlighted producing little, achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort of network. MAS Airlines has the lowest labour cost than other airlines. Malaysian Airline has successfully gain a profit of RM 852 million was in 2007 and being ranked as a 5 star Airlines by The BTP in return.

Malaysia Airlines owns two subsidiary airlines which are Firefly and MASwings. Since the launch of Firefly which is targeted on low price flights, MAS Airlines managed to compete in such a way of providing the low cost carrier in the market. To increase or attract more traveller to use this carrier, MAS Airlines has expand their services in the Asia Pacific region from China and Japan yet cut down the unprofitable routes to South Africa and Argentina. Malaysia Airlines also provide internal restructuring and anticipated to sell units such as engineering and pilot training to upskill to do tasks which keeps them fresh and motivated. MAS Airlines also began to expand their services to business related travel for business people due to the highly demand on more international routes to destinations. The group also invest in medical tourism whereby they sponsor tickets for the trips to Malaysia and medical tourists visiting the country are being offered discounted
