Marywood University Matched My Goals

Often the subject of many teenagers' angst, my parents are contrary to the national average in that thy are my inspiration, the reason why I strive for my best. Growing up in a driven family I remember my father telling me that, "whatever I put my hand to do, to do it with all my might". At the time Ii did not know he was paraphrasing a Bible verse, but after passing his religious knowledge to me, I realized the importance of his quoting Scripture. Successful from honest, hard work, my parents have spent their lives incorporating excellence, religious identity, and empowerment into their learning and lifestyle. While my whole goal at college is to graduate with honors and apply my higher education to the workforce, I also want reach an elevated level of achievement every semester. My parents taught me that solely trying hard is not what it takes to strive for excellence. I must in every class do my best, with all my might, not stopping when it appears too difficult. Marywood also promotes excellence as one of their core values. By my university supporting excellence as one of their core values, the components of the school; professors, teachers, staff, are all dedicated to support me in my endeavor to reach my goals.
