Book Of Revelation Analysis

Mary was quite possibly the most famous woman of the Bible. She was the virgin mother of Jesus Christ our Lord. Many have tried to discredit the story of Mary and Joseph, her husband, saying a virgin becoming pregnant and giving birth is simply not possible. Though we cannot know for certain the birth of Mary, people of Christian faith have celebrated her birthday as September the 8th, which is exactly 9 months following the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. This is seemingly how her birthday has been determined. Like stated before, she was the chosen woman to carry Jesus. God sent Gabriel to Mary to tell her of His plans for her. Mary proceeded to visit her sister Elizabeth who lived in Judea. Elizabeth was pregnant and soon to give …show more content…
This is assumed because in John 19:26-27 we are told of Jesus calling for his mother to be in John’s care after His death.

Revelation

For my book of choice in the New Testament, I chose Revelation. This particular book has always held my interest, even before I was a saved and dedicated Christian. The Book of Revelation has three different literary genres throughout its chapters; the epistolary (documents and/or letters), the apocalyptic, and the prophetic (messages written to convey to let know about events to come known from divine intervention). The authorship of Revelation has long been debated. While some scholars argue that John the Apostle wrote it, some argue the exact opposite and say he had nothing to do with the writing,

The area consists mainly of rocky terrain with several high mountains, including Mount Tabor and Mount Meron. It is mentioned several times throughout the Bible as the setting for stories or ideas. We see Galilee in 1 Kings, Isaiah, Luke, John, and many others. The area is probably most commonly known for its mention in the story of Jesus riding with the fishers and the miracle of the filled nets which all takes place at the Sea of Galilee. I am sure we all heard at some point in childhood the story of Jesus approaching the boats and he rode in the one owned by Simon. As they moved out from the shore he began preaching to the men and instructed them to let down the nets. Peter explained that they had been fishing all night and had not caught one fish yet, but because he had faith in what Jesus said to him, he would. The nets were then overflowing and full of fish! They caught such a large number of fish that the nets began to break. At the sight of this amazing miracle, this is when Peter, James, and John dropped everything and followed

From the most popular book throughout the world comes one of the most commonly known stories in history. One certainly does not have to be a Christian to know or even be familiar with the story Jesus Christ’s Passion, Death and Resurrection. In “Killing Jesus”, Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard give the reader an inside look of what the life of Jesus was like leading up to and during these historic events, as well as the culture and setting of this time period. The audience reading “Killing Jesus” would more than likely classify the book to be more of an informative and historical piece, as oppose to being theological as the Bible is.…

    1. Galilee a. Galilee is a northern Israel region that Jesus called home for approximately 30 years of his life and it is also the primary setting for the Gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke which record Jesus’ ministry within that area (Nelson, 1897, p.1). 2. Messianic Secret a. The Messianic Secret is a theological motif addressed by William Wrede which concludes that Mark solved the issue church’s lack of written accounts of Jesus’ “messiahship” because the historical Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah by “creatively“ rewriting the Gospel to suggest Jesus intentionally kept his Messiah identity hidden (Strauss, 2011, p. 3847).…

Revelation Chapter 20 Verse 1: Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain over his hand. The chain represents the extended chain countdown that Burrinn and Ralph were doing. The Rev Tree pro started with a sky spoken number, which was projected into the spiritual realm for all listening to hear, to officially start the countdown. Bear in mind, the bottomless pit is still an ever working mind. At any rate, the countdown was performed in a slow, long drawn-out manner, such as ten, nine, eight, yet adding in halves, and so on, in some cases and waiting different amounts of time in between mentioning a number.…

The actual date of Jesus' birth is not known, but it appears that Jesus was born sometime between 7 and 5 B.C in Bethlehem. 25 December was fixed as his birth date more than 500 years after the event on purely hypothetical data. There is not one Jesus birth story in the gospels, but two. These gospels include Matthew and Luke, where they state that he was born of the virgin mother, Mary, without a male parent. However, Joseph the carpenter has been considered to be his father.…

In A God of Incredible Surprises by Virgilio Elizondo, who is the leading Latino theologian in the United States today, we get to witness his thoughts about Jesus’s life on earth. Elizondo introduces some very intriguing thoughts on the birth of Jesus, and what all that could mean for humanity. For instance, “… in the Apostle’s Creed: He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary” (Elizondo, 2003, 22). After this, Elizondo makes a very interesting point come to mind by asking why Jesus should be conceived by the Holy Spirit. Elizondo believes there is nothing more godlike than man and woman creating new life from the bond of love.…

She can correlate with much more strength to who many Muslims consider the mother of Islam with Hagar. Mary experienced God in the most intimate way; she bore his child in Jesus. Though, she was assumed to have been adulteress, and experienced not only ridicule from others, but guilt from within which lead her to burn offerings and repent for her sins in the Temple of Jerusalem (Luke 2:22). She was not necessarily expelled from society, nor was she truly pursued, but she dealt with the struggle she had incurred and strove forward in life to become one of the greatest figures in Christian history. She is the mother of the lord, Jesus Christ, and holds regard as one of the principle characters which one must pray to, as without her, there would have been no savior.…

London: SPCK, 1950. Edward Kenneth Lee studies the entire book of John; he claims that the book was influenced by the intellectual and religious atmosphere at the time. Specifically, Lee claims that the Prologue of John - the Logos story - replaced the birth of Jesus to satisfy the intellectual culture of the Greeks who lacked a desire for history and genealogy. The Logos idea influences the complete gospel and qualifies the resurrection. Although little information can be found on Lee, his propositions are founded on sound sources and are written in an academic manner.…

There are 27 books in the New Testament, if only choose two of them, I would select Galatians and Philemon. Not because these two are more spiritual and more depth than others, but they are easier to understand towards me. Galatians and Philemon both have straightforward themes and contents, which are easier for me to catch the key points. Though, as explaining one plus one equals two, the simpler ideas show the deeper truths. These two books teach me a lot of words of Jesus.…
