At one point in the music video, Mary purposely leaves her book with a note in it at the coffee shop. She knew her crush would find it and see the note on the inside. On the note, Mary wrote, “I think you’re super cute”. Lambert then went back to the coffee shop to get her book and asked the lady at the counter if she could speak to her crush. Lambert’s music has meaning behind it and she wants everyone who listens to her song, “She Keeps Me Warm” to realize that it is more than just a beat and a melody. The words in the song have meaning and pertain to her identity. Many others can relate to her identity in the same way by listening to her song or supporting her. Even if someone is not a homosexual, he/she can still sing the song and respect homosexuals as a whole. In today’s day and age, audiences see a lot more homosexual couples in the media. They are portrayed on television shows, commercials, movies, and in music. If more people were open about homosexuality it would make a big difference in the world and it could diminish any stereotypes people
