Introduction
Sarah (2011) evaluates the lives of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She notes that the pair were born on June 13, 1986, in Sherman Oaks, CA, U.S. Their parents were David Olsen and Jarnette and had an elder brother Trent and a younger sister Elizabeth, who is an actor. Besides, they have a foster brother and sister from their father’s second marriage after their parent divorced in 1995. Born as fraternal twins, the duo grew to share similar interests in fashion as well as starring in movies. As they grew, their passion for acting as well as fashion designing was evident as they shocked the United States by acting as Michelle Tanner in the Full House television series at a tender age of six months. Besides, at just the age of six, Kate and Ashley became American actors earning themselves a sizeable number of diehard fans across the world.

Olsen (2013) observes that as they sought to secure future of their company, they identified the teens as their target market. As such, they began designing products that would have more appeal to the teens. Their plan encompassed clothes, fragrance, and home decorations. Resultantly, the dual brand made a hit selling in more than three thousand outlets in the United States. Therefore, the Forbes Magazine valued them at a combined value of $100 million in 2007 hence rising to position 13 of richest women in entertainment. Sarah (2011) observes that Ashley points out that the duo’s design philosophy is that they regard the quality and the feel of their products.
