Marxism as created by Karl Marx is a society in which the state owns all the land and property. In the Marxist system, No capitalism, Money does not exist and everyone equally gets what they need.
There are two classes; the Proletariat and the Bourgeois. The Proletariats are the workers of the land, such as servants, while the Bourgeois were the corporate owners. Also this theory is a form of socialism, in which there is no class division among people of any sort, whether it is economic or social. It is equality all around.
The Marxist theory applies well to the story, because it distinguishes different power, social and economic structures due to class division.

She is so independent, and she is leading the other girls wherever they go. We can see Sammy and Stokesie are mainly giving attention and consideration to Queenie, whom is uniquely identified as Rich and beautiful. Sammy is able to distinguish between the Queen and other girls, and he is aware of the different power structures existing between them.
Langel, being the manager, he holds the most power in leading the store. He requests the girls to dress decently and tolerably and not to ruin his store's reputation. During his discussion with them, he demonstrates that he is in a higher position with more authority than everyone
