The "melting pot" phrase normally applies to the formation of American culture mostly shaping in the early to mid nineteen hundreds when a flood of immigrants came to America looking for anything new ranging from a new job opportunity to religious freedom. The particular time also incited a stricter formation of social classes with the lower class handling poverty and cases of starvation, middle class being families with median income mostly able to provide enough for themselves to survive, and last would be the upper class that would involve some of the most popular wealthy icons of that era such as John D. Most people know the story of Jay-Z 's rise to fame and how in a sense is the perfect example of American dream giving hope to the minorities of the country, but unfortunately for most Americans that story seems much like a fairy tale with the majority of minorities not seeing success they deserve in their business, jobs, even families. I do not believe that raising the minimum wage for entry jobs is a solution because it would only turn out to be a higher cost of living for everyone with inflation of prices that should be kept low. Instead i think that we need to erase the preconceived notion that a college education is the only way to make a healthy living when many trade jobs that pay well are not getting the popularity and respect they truly deserve. If this idea was integrated in our society we would see an even approach to all kinds of jobs not just the jobs that need a college degree and less unemployment for college students after graduation, along with a drop in the percentage of drop-out college students. The idea i proposed is a long term solution to the issue of inequality between class because i believe that once those jobs are filled the percentage of people under the poverty line will be slim and the middle class would boom while spreading the wealth around the country not just to corporate executives and result in increasing the national GDP benefiting everyone in the
