Marx and Engels, wrote that revolution would happened in the most modernize and industrialize countries first. Then it will expand throughout the world, not only in one state. The idea was that workers will unite and overthrown the bourgeoisie, the ones that were the factory owners, and take the factories in control and instead of having one bourgeoisie that made the most profit and benefit the most, it will spread to all the people, socialism. The reason for this kind of thinking was because Marx and Engel in the age of industrialization he saw that there was the need to have a different direction from a capitalist view to Socialism, he wanted equality among everyone, not just few to get rich. The Russian revolution really came into effectiveness when Tsar Nicholas II stepped down, then there was a period where a provisional government was stablished, which ruled in cooperation with the soviets. After a while the Bolsheviks took power, because they gained power and were the representatives of the people, the workers. The reason Nicholas stepped down was because of the pressure that he had from Russia, because he as sending people to WWI to die, there was no real reason to fight and people were
