Marvins: A Narrative Fiction

Marvin was an average, hardworking, family man. He had a very worn face like he was worn from bills, his job, and even life itself. Ever since the stock market crash, Marvin was in desperate need of help. He turned to his friends, his family, the government but its seemed like no one was willing to help him out. Marvin lived in detroit in a small trailer home which had various leaks everywhere and no heat. The cold had taken all of his moral away from him, he was constantly snuggled in his big ripped jacket, you could see the cold in his red almost burnt cheeks and nose. It was hard for marvin, sometimes he even had to ask himself “Will i be able to feed myself tomorrow?” After the divorce it seemed like marvin had almost nothing, he lost his house and his kids. However it was not a normal day, someone had switched their ripped suit with Marvin's suit. Marvin hadn’t noticed this rip and started a normal day of work. Marvin went to pour out the molten iron into the sand molds to cast the exhausts that they were making that day, as he poured the mold over filled and hit the ground where he happened to have the rip. Marvin fell to the ground and started screaming, calling the attention of the supervisors. They quickly poured hot water on his leg and sent him off to the hospital. At the hospital Marvin could still feel the burn, it's like his leg was in hell. This was not a little and dandy burn, this was a bad and no skin left burn. Marvin was soon told that he would need a skin graft. After his surgery, Marvin decided to sue his employers and eventually won a 1.5 million dollar lawsuit and decided to spend his money wisely and buy himself a 1.4 million dollar mansion. He donated the rest to the company, so they could buy better safety
