The director of the movie is the one who puts the whole thing together and decides the final output. Furthermore, Marvel’s directors are always top of the line like: Joss Whedon, James Gunn, and Jon Favreau. All of these directors have past movies outside of the Marvel universe that are critically acclaimed including: Toy story, The Jungle Book, and the christmas classic Elf. On the other hand, All of the DC movies have had one main director Zack Snyder. Although while filming the Justice League movie DC brought in a Marvel director to lighten up the tone while Zack Snyder was absent from the film. This shows that while Zack Snyder is a good director the Marvel directors are plentiful and more talented.
In conclusion, the Marvel and DC universes are similar in some ways but ultimately different. While the DC universe hasn’t even scratched the surface yet in their potential, they also haven’t come close to the amount of success that the Marvel movies have had. Also with only one movie releasing next year they will not be doing any catching up anytime soon. In contrast, it is possible for DC to be a even more successful franchise then they already are if they fix the tone of the movies, use more directors, and put more movies out for the public to approve
