Essay #2 Despite, what his parents, friends, and strangers told Marty Ravellette he refused to give up. Marty was born without arms and his parents believed from the time he was born he would have the life of hopefulness, he set out to prove everyone wrong. His parents wondered how he would feed himself as a baby; people doubted that he could provide for himself on his own; people said he would never be able to drive; and the list goes on. Well, Marty was able to feed himself with his feet, received his driver’s licenses, has held numerous of jobs, owned his landscaping business, has married twice, has 2 children, and his is a grandfather.
