Legacy normally by itself means something passed down by ancestors, common legacies are land, money and a standard of quality. The term survival of a legacy is basically just a combination of these two terms. Survival of a legacy refers to an object or story passed down from ancestors generally emanating from one culture. It may refer to things like land, traditions, knowledge, stories and things people find important. A person’s legacy is what they have left behind to the world which could include children, discoveries, inventions, philosophy and much more. A prime example of a survival of a legacy is The Bible, which is a collection of writings that have been passed down and have evolved over time.
