Racism is a battle that society as a whole has to be willing to fight in order to stop these vicious acts. Everyone knows the story of Michael Brown and what happened in Ferguson August 9, 2014 when he was shot and killed by police officer, Darren Wilson. In the article, “What Happened in Ferguson?” published by New York Times Magazine, gives a synopsis of what actually happened that day. According to witnesses and police reports the events leading to Mike Brown’s death began with the theft of cigarillos by Mike Brown himself. If this is true, was death his ultimate punishment?
