On approximately December 1, 1995 Ms. Rosa parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on the bus to a white passenger in Montgomery,Alabama. At the time since we were segregated it was known that if the bus was full and a white passenger wanted to sit down, The African American would have to give up their seat. Ms. Rosa was not having it. In some sources they call her the “ Mother of civil rights”. In august 1995 parks and king met. They both had a thirst for their freedom. If Dr. King did not keep fighting we could still be in segregation I'm thankful that I have someone in my history to look back on and say thank you for fighting for my rights.
