Epic heroes exist everywhere in society; they are integrated throughout communities, cultures, races, and families. An epic is a long poem that is usually borrowed from ancient myth or culture. Epics tell the stories and experience of heroic characters or the history of a nation; accordingly, an epic hero is the brave and noble figure, in which an epic poem narrates, admired for their great deeds. Martin Luther King Jr. embodies the characteristics of an epic hero as he demonstrated great strength and courage, maintained national humility, and gained a national platform in America.
