On August twenty eight, 1963, over two hundred,000 Americans gathered in Washington, D.C., for a political rally referred to as the locomote Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Organized by variety of civil rights and non secular teams, the event was designed to shed lightweight on the political and social challenges African Americans continued to face across the country.
