I think Freedom means that we have the right to speak and not judge people by their skin color and we have a right to vote. In the early 1960’s we did judge people by the color of their skin but there was a man who fought for that right and that was Martin Luther King Jr. King was born in Atlanta Georgia in 1929 He was the leader in The African-American civil rights movement. Back in the early 60’s we did not treat African Americans with respect or kindness, but Martin Luther King did not quit to get His and the rest of the African Americans the rights they deserved. In 1963 Martin went to the white house and gave his famous speech called ‘I have a dream’. Over thousands of people came to the white house to come and hear his speech. That
